HISTORY

Agay's sheltered bay has long made it a natural harbour, used by the Greeks, Romans and later Napoleon. In the 19th century, it became a popular stop for artists, writers and military figures travelling along the Riviera. Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, author of The Little Prince, spent part of his childhood in Agay and praised its landscape in his writings.
