Ski season 2019/20 has begun04 December
The 2019/2020 ski season has officially begun with Val Thorens opening its slopes on 23rd November and other high-altitude resorts are not far behind.
Val d'Isère’s ski season kicked off on 30th November. To mark the occasion, the lively resort in Espace Killy hosted a weekend of celebration, aptly called First Tracks, with live musicand entertainment.
In Val d'Isère there is limited space for new properties and planning permission is currently halted for the next two years, following the cancellation of the latest urbanism plan. Which means opportunities to buy new-build properties in Val d'Isère are few and far between. Set for delivery in Q4 2021, Vail Lodge is a stunning collection of apartments and duplex penthouses literally on the piste, next to the junction of the Solaise and Santons. This means that keen skiers can ski to the lift in the morning and ski back directly to their doorstep at the end of the day.
As seen in Country and Townhouse in November, one of our most impressive chalets for sale in Val d'Isère is the incredible Chalet le Rocher, a palatial property with seven bedrooms, an indoor swimming pool and spectacular finishes. In a dominant position on a private road, this chalet’s coveted location offers the ultimate mix of privacy, panoramic Isère valley views and ski-in ski-out access.
Two weeks after its Three Valleys sibling Val Thorens, Méribel’s ski season opens on 7th December. With snow on and off throughout November, the resort is enjoying excellent pre-season snow conditions.
Set in the most premium part of the resort, le Rond Point des Pistes, Village de l’Orée and Les Chalets des Pistes are two new-build developments in a fantastic ski-in ski-out location with panoramic views over the pistes, valley and village.
The ski season in Courchevel begins on 7th December too. For the 2019/2020 ski season, Courchevel’s front de neige has had a complete makeover and now boasts a 10-seater gondola to connect Courchevel Le Praz to the centre of Courchevel 1850 in under 6 minutes.
The eagerly anticipated Manali Lodge is set to be delivered in December 2019. Occupying the best spot in Courchevel Moriond, an iconic hotel has been transformed into a stunning collection of ski residences. The development also boasts excellent services including a huge spa, a concierge service and two restaurants.
One final chalet remains at nearby Canyon Lodge. The project is already delivered which means that this chalet is ready to move into or rent out straight away. Part of an intimate collection of just four properties, this residence boasts a private swimming pool, spa facilities and impressive finishes.
