Athena’s Megève portfolio – handpicked luxury chalets and apartments

15 June

Conceived in the 1920s by the Rothchilds as a French alternative to Saint-Moritz, Megève was the first ‘purpose built’ resort in the Alps. It quickly became one of Europe’s most popular ski destinations, attracting not only the French aristocracy, but also lots of international celebrities and wealthy people.

This image hasn’t changed and today it is still one of the swankiest ski resorts in the world, seamlessly blending its untarnished French feel with luxury lifestyle and great skiing.

In response to increasing demand from clients and partners, we have been keeping a careful eye on this highly exclusive property market and have carefully selected some of the best properties currently available.

A traditional Haute Savoyard village in the shadows of the highest mountain in Europe, Mont Blanc, Megève is chic and pretty. Its streets are paved with cobble stones, protected by the car free zone in the centre making shopping in its boutiques, which offer famous brands from around the world, even more pleasurable.

Each year, this fantastic place welcomes skiers with 445 km of incredibly scenic pistes, including 33 black slopes, 84 reds, 63 blues and 378 greens. Additionally, the area boasts 18 cross-country skiing trails. To be honest, it takes only a snowflake and the jingle of a horse-drawn carriage to transform the village into an alpine fairytale.
