Paradiski

Paradiski and its villages have state-of-the-art facilities, and with nearly 70% of the villages set above 2,000m in altitude this area guarantees fantastic snow seasons. The villages in the region are active all year round thanks to its vast selection of summer activities on top of the abundance of winter offerings. Kayaking is a main attraction for the summer, as are hiking and climbing.

Investments in the region have made the villages increasingly popular, and since 2004 a connected dual-level Vanoise Express was built to provide access to and from the 20 other ski stations of Paradiski, from Les Arcs (Plan-Peisey station) to La Plagne via Montchavin station. With a varied offering of pistes, from beginners in Les Arcs to the harder diamond runs in Sainte-Foy en Tarentaise, and with good off-piste skiing in La Plagne, Paradiski is increasingly becoming attractive with ski enthusiasts and families alike for an Alps property purchase.

Each village offers its own charm: the streets of Sainte-Foy en Tarentaise are quiet and peaceful, but La Plagne generally attracts a younger crowd not minding the less attractive buildings and more focused on the incredible rocky off-piste slopes. Les Arcs was designed with the skier in mind: the streets are car-free and the village was developed by a team of architects, ski developers and ski instructors. Pure skiing is what you come for here. No Chanel in sight.

The experts say
