Tamarin and the West

While pristine white sands, warm waters and beautiful year round weather are Mauritius’s 360, when it comes to a more tranquil pace of life, the west coast is king. From Tamarim to the secluded south-western Le Morne Peninsula and its dramatic 3km beach, the palm tree lined shores on this side of the island are sheltered from the south-east winds, making it the ideal setting for swimming and diving.
Tamarin, a picturesque resort and former fishing village, is a jewel in the crown of Mauritius’ west coast, combining a good selection of restaurants with services and supermarkets. Tamarin’s central location also makes it a great option for adventure and nature lovers, offering quick access to the secluded beaches of the south, the deserted tropical shores of The East and the hiking trails of the ruggedly beautiful central mountains.
