Les Saisies

Les Saisies is one of the six ski resorts that make up Espace Diamant. The resort is often compared to Scandinavian ski resorts due to its Nordic sports offering. One of its advantages is that on average it has more snow, more sunshine and more light during the winter, and isn’t as cold, as most resorts in Scandinavia. The slopes run through pastures and forests, taking advantage of the natural beauty and making the run down the slopes all the more interesting.

Les Saisies offers easy access to novice and ski-school slopes, with multilingual instructors, making it a great choice for families. This is also reflected in the village, with a newly built Le Signal, an aquatic sports centre, and a new bowling bar restaurant, Le 1650. For that reason, the nightlife scene is not the most exciting, but there is a bar or two if you want to stay out a bit later.

Not only does the area provide a haven for skiers, it is beloved by paragliders and hot air balloon enthusiasts alike. The summer season is as exciting as the winter, with activities such as canyoning, mountain boarding, quad biking all taking place, as well as a recent growth in mountain biking popularity.

This is not a village for the glamorous and the elite. The area thrives on the beauty of its nature and on the wide range of outdoor activities it offers for families, so if you are looking for a more down-to-earth, typical Alp resort experience, Les Saisies is for you.
