Summer skiing in the French Alps!14th July 2014
The main summer skiing season in the French Alps is now well underway with three of the regular summer skiing area now open.
Les 2 Alpes and Tignes originally opened with limited terrain and have now expanded to their full summer operations. Both resorts saw a snow base of around 2m.
The Les 2 Alpes glacier hits altitudes of 3,200m above sea level has 90 hectares of slopes available during the hot months, with eight runs, a beginner area and a freestyle area served by 16 lifts (a third of the winter total).
Summer skiing is becoming much more of a past time for owners of ski property in suitable areas. Our range of new ski apartments in Tignes have already proven very popular with owners and investors, who are both appreciating the growing range of snow-based summer activities available across the Espace Killy Mountains.
